A NACHE event in association with the British Ceramics Biennial

Timed to coincide with ‘FRESH’ - an exhibition of recent graduates from ceramic courses in UK Higher Education institutions, and a selection of current ceramics PhD research from UK institutions - this symposium will provide an opportunity to examine the nature of ceramics practice as research and explore current thinking and activity in the field.

Speakers include: Paul Scott - Professor of the National Academy of the Arts Oslo, Caroline Slotte - Finland/Norway, Bonnie Kemske - Editor of Ceramic Review and Steve Dixon - Crafts Research Centre Leader MIRIAD at MMU.

All delegates are also invited to Flux Goes Live and Live at Spode on Thursday 20 October 5.30pm - 8.00pm.  Flux Goes Live is the UK launch of Flux, Staffordshire University new acclaimed ceramic design brand.  Live at Spode is experimental ceramic performance pieces by Philip Lee & Cally Trench, David Cushway and Caroline Tattersall.  This event is taking place on the original Spode factory site.
