The Original Spode Factory - Bread in Common

We are delighted that Stoke based arts company B Arts will be returning to BCB 2017 with their Bread in Common Café; a bespoke, artist-made café space, serving delicious eats from across contemporary food culture featuring; hand-made healthy, seasonal, locally produced food includes; real bread toast with toppings from good old baked beans through to the more swish avocado with or without extras; a kids/ family mezze plate with raw fruit and veg sticks, slices of our own focaccia and a selection of homemade dips (hummus, roast tomato, flavoured mayonnaise), and olives. Weekend and half term specials include: cheese and potato pies, baked sweet potatoes and falafel. Sweet treats will include; cakes, scones, biscuits and low sugar flapjacks, with October Half Term seeing the return of Bread in Common’s Cherry and Chocolate Bread (be careful it’s addictive) and family friendly fun sharing plates in sweet and savoury options.

After hours in the café space, B arts will also be presenting a new immersive theatre show, “Forest of Dreams”, where food, folklore, music and theatrical story-telling fuse to conjure an imaginative place in the woods. Worlds are colliding and we explore how we say who we are, who we have been and dream together who we could be. The show also includes dinner, for more information and to book please click here:  Cafe events programme.
