Welcome to British Ceramic Biennial’s newly launched digital creative learning programme, #ClayAtHome, a series of free online resources created in response to the current health climate.

This week, we’ll be looking at how we can play and explore with clay and different materials found inside and outside our houses. We’ll be using ideas from the award-winning 2017 Clay Pit and 2019 Clay Quarter to recreate fun and playful activities to do at home.

In this video, Natalie shows us ways of drawing and making marks with clay and how to adapt this with things you can find in the house. Download the worksheet for instructions and more activities including a building competition with found objects!

The next ‘how-to’ video will be launched in a week’s time on 29th April. Don’t forget to use the hashtag #ClayAtHome to share your creations with us and the rest of the community taking part in the programme.

More information can be found on the #ClayAtHome website page and across our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram channels.
