The biennial starts in: 101 Days
AWARD is the Biennial’s major survey exhibition of current ceramic practice in the UK. Presented at the Potteries Museum & Art Gallery, the home of the finest historic and contemporary collections of ceramics outside London, the exhibition brings together the leading edge of contemporary creative ceramics design, practice and manufacture.
The 22 artists selected for AWARD 2013 are:
Christie Brown, Matthew Chambers, Claudia Clare, Zachary Eastwood-Bloom, Edith Garcia, Malene Hartmann Rasmussen, Ikuko Iwamoto, Jonathan Keep, Jin Eui Kim, Aimee Lax, Nicholas Lees, Andrew Livingstone, Nao Matsunaga, Ian McIntyre, James Rigler, Lara Scobie, Louisa Taylor, Tamsin Van Essen, Andrea Walsh, James & Tilla Waters, Katy West, Connor Wilson.
The images shown are of work by the selected artists. The artists are making new work for the Award exhibition.
The AWARD artists and AWARD winner are selected by: Alun Graves, Curator of Ceramics & Glass at the V&A, Ranti Tjan, Director of the European Ceramic Work Centre in The Netherlands, Flavia Swann, Former Dean, University of Sunderland, Ian Vines, Exhibitions Manager at The Potteries Museum & Art Gallery, and the BCB Co-Directors Barney Hare Duke and Jeremy Theophilus.
Admission to the Award exhibition is free.
