Communications & Audiences Manager

Kate joined BCB in May 2025 and leads the organisation’s communications and audience development, shaping how the Biennial reaches and resonates with communities across Stoke-on-Trent and beyond. She oversees press, digital strategy, and visitor engagement, strengthening BCB’s national and international profile while ensuring the Biennial feels welcoming, accessible, and relevant to diverse audiences.

With more than 15 years’ experience in strategic communications, audience development and digital marketing across organisations, including HOME Manchester and Venture Arts, Kate has led high-impact campaigns, expanded audiences, and championed inclusive cultural experiences. Her background in artist facilitation, disability arts, and community-centred projects drives her belief that creativity can spark connection, confidence, and positive change.

Collaborative, thoughtful, and motivated by storytelling that makes people feel seen, Kate brings expertise in brand narrative, data-driven insight, and digital engagement to BCB’s mission to make change through clay.
