Clay Together Workshops
The studio will be open from 1pm so that people can get to know the space and the team before the workshops start
Clay Together is a chance for children and young people with care experience to get creative with clay at the BCB Studio. From clay modelling to tile-making, there will be lots of techniques to try.
About the Clay Together Workshops
The workshops will be safe and welcoming, with a range of fun and friendly clay activities to work on independently or together with others. The sessions will be led by BCB’s Associate Artists, who are brilliant at ensuring that everyone is able to join in with making in a way that suits them. Within the two-hour workshop, there will be the option of trying all three activities or focusing on one. There will be a breakout space with refreshments provided so that the makers can go at their own pace, and carers can take a step back, whilst being nearby, if the children want to work on their own.
All activities are able to adapt to a wide range of ages, abilities and interests.
Staffing
The workshop will be staffed by a small team of BCB’s Associate Artists. They are professional ceramic artists who regularly work with children, young people and adults in a range of settings. They are experts in making clay an accessible medium to all.
Where and When
BCB Studio, 118 & 124 Church Street, Stoke-on-Trent, ST4 1BU.
Sunday 15 February and Sunday 15 March, 1.30 – 3.30pm.
The studio will be open from 1pm so that people can get to know the space and the team before the workshops start.
