Claire Woolliscroft

Claire Woolliscroft has joined BCB temporarily as Learning & Participation Manager and will be in the role until autumn 2026. She will continue to deliver a programme of education projects involving young people across Stoke. Through workshops and events in schools, arts venues and community hubs, these projects aim to not only provide children with hands-on experiences with clay and the artistic freedom this allows, but also encourage the development of wider skills for the classroom, workplace and beyond.

Claire has a background in education and completed her Master’s in Teaching at the start of her career as an English teacher. She began her journey in ceramics in 2020 and studied various aspects of practice before completing her MA in Ceramics at the University of Staffordshire in 2023. Claire first worked with BCB when exhibiting in the course degree show at the 2023 Biennial before becoming an Associate Artist. She worked as a ceramics tutor before moving into the Learning & Participation Manager role and continues to develop her own practice at her studio in Stockport.
