We need you’re help to create 800 clay books for the Knowledge is Power the 6 Towns installation.

Join us with Katie Leonard and Rhiannon Ewing Jones at the British Ceramics Biennial ceramics studio, other volunteers and members of the public in making clay books that represent books from the 6 Towns Collection in libraries throughout Stoke-on-Trent.

Stoke Libraries have partnered with British Ceramics Biennial in commissioning leading UK ceramic artist Keith Harrison in the creation of major new work; an interactive and experimental kiln for installation, public firing and performance at BCB 2017.

Keith Harrison has been inspired by the remarkable 6 Towns Collection of local history books held in the libraries in Stoke-on-Trent. The Knowledge is Power the 6 Towns interactive kiln will be a dramatic installation and performance in the China Hall during the BCB festival.

Suitable for children 8+ must be accompanied by an adult.

There are two time slots 10-12pm and 1-3pm over the course of the day.
