Additional information

This a free but ticketed event. It may be cold, and possibly messy, so wear warm clothes that wash easily.

Visit the British Ceramics Biennial’s Clay Quarter on a Wednesday to relax and unwind on your lunch break. Have fun, relax and experiment with clay in an informal hands on workshop facilitated by a Clay Quarter artist. There are 20 spaces available for each Wednesday session but booking is required.
Visitors to the Clay Quarter will experiment with sound, light and tools to experience clay in different ways. The space will be changing throughout the festival – come back to see how Clay Quarter artists move, shift and create – reshaping the environment and ensuring something different every week.
The Clay Quarter is for everyone – come by yourself, with friends, colleagues or family.
The British Ceramics Biennial (BCB) returns to Stoke-on-Trent from 7 September to 13 October 2019, bringing together more than 300 contemporary artists in a vibrant programme of exhibitions, installations and events in six iconic cultural venues across the city.
The British Ceramics Biennial is open everyday between 7th September and 13th October.
