Double the Difference for BCB in Arts For Impact Campaign with Big Give

Double your donation to help children and young people with care experience get creative with clay at the BCB Studio.

In March, BCB is taking part in Arts for Impact – Big Give’s seven-day, online, match-funding campaign supporting arts and culture charities across the UK. We’re aiming to raise £12,000 to support Clay Together. Based at our Stoke-on-Trent studio, Clay Together provides safe, welcoming creative sessions for young people, with a particular focus on those who are care-experienced.

Thanks to The Big Give, every donation will be doubled, so your support will have twice the impact.

About Clay Together

Clay Together is a chance to make something with clay. Along the way, those taking part will learn something new, be creative, use their hands and express themselves and their ideas with clay. They might even meet someone new, become more confident, relax and have fun or be proud of themselves for taking part.

In March 2024, there was a record high of 1,156 children in care in Stoke-on-Trent. Relative to population, this is more than any other English local authority. Children and young people who have experience of the care system can experience more challenges with their mental health and social isolation, especially during their teenage years when they are facing the educational and emotional changes experienced by all teenagers.

Taking part in Clay Together will give young people the opportunity to gain new skills, build confidence and socialise with others with similar experiences. The young people taking part will be able to shape the direction of the activities and work collaboratively with others in the programme. This will help them improve skills to communicate their interests, develop leadership skills, and provide creative challenges in a supportive environment.

Save the Date

The Arts for Impact campaign will take place from midday 17 March to midday 24 March 2026. During this time, all donations made through our campaign page are generously matched by Big Give, meaning you can make double the difference in our vision of making change through clay.

See BCB’s Big Give donation page for more information.

About Big Give

Big Give is a registered charity (1136547) that brings together larger donors, like philanthropists, foundations and businesses, with the giving public and the charities that need them. They match what the public gives, and so double the difference the charity can make. It’s an idea that has already raised approximately £427 million for thousands of charities, supported by James Reed CBE, the driving force behind Big Give and Chair of the Trustees.

It’s a simple idea: if someone gives £50, Big Give will match it with £50 from a larger donor who cares about the same cause. Which makes everyone’s donation gomuch further. Big Give runs the Christmas Challenge, the UK’s biggest match-funded campaign supporting a diverse array of charities working across all charitable sectors within the UK and overseas. In 2025, it raised a record £57.4m, with 1,591 charities and over 152,000 donors participating.

Big Give runs many cause-focused match funding campaigns: The Women & Girls campaign, the Small Charity week campaign, the Arts for Impact campaign, and the Earth Raise campaign. Big Give has supported more than 20,343 charity projects and worked with some of the biggest names in UK philanthropy and charitable grant-making, which provide match funding, including DCMS, John Spiers (founder of Bestinvest and B Corp registered EQ Foundation), Garfield Weston Foundation, The Waterloo Foundation, The Hospital Saturday Fund, The Childhood Trust and many others.
