Helen Felcey

Associate Artist, Researcher and Fresh Panel Chair

Since 2009 Helen has supported FRESH graduate show, shaped in part­ner­ship with the Na­tion­al As­so­ci­a­tion for Ce­ram­ics in High­er Ed­u­ca­tion (NACHE). This has extended to events and symposia which, like FRESH, seek to promote the network of Higher Education Ceramics in the UK. She currently chairs the FRESH selection panel.

In 2014, Helen began to work with the Community and Education team as an artists on Typecast, exploring clay and recover processes. She has since contributed to a number of programmes including ReCast, Embodied Clay and Clay Pit, and continues to contribute to FRESH and various Community and Education Programmes.

Helen is a freelance artist, educator and curator. She graduated from Manchester School of Art in 2000 with a BA in 3D Design, and went on to gain an MA in Ceramics from Cardiff School of Art in 2001. She teaches at Liverpool Hope University within BA Design and at Manchester School of Art within MA programmes.
