Kyra Cane

Kyra has been making pots, selling and exhibiting work since graduating from Camberwell College of Art in 1985. Her current studio is at the Harley Foundation in Welbeck, Nottinghamshire. She taught part-time in her early career, most notably as Course Leader of the Harrow Ceramics Course at the University of Westminster. Her book, ‘Making and Drawing’, explores the many ways in which artists use drawing to inform, inspire and create their work.

Kyra’s work has been commissioned for a range of hotels and Ocean Liners. She has worked with interior design company ‘Liaigre’, supplying them with porcelain for showrooms across the world. A recent collaboration with textile company ‘Romo’ resulted in the production of a range of fabrics, wallcoverings and rugs based on her ceramic work and drawings. She was part of the Monumental Vessels Project at Collect Open 2024 and is the Chair of Craft Pottery Charitable Trust.
