Noor Ali Chagani

Born and raised in Karachi, Pakistan, Noor Ali Chagani received his BS Degree in Computer Science in Karachi and then later BFA in Miniature Painting from National College of Arts, Lahore. He has since exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in Pakistan, India, UAE, UK, Netherlands, Bahrain and the United States. Noor came to the UK in 2022 after an Artist Residency at Wardown House Museum and Gallery in Luton. His work revolves around the concept of the absence of home. In his quest for personal space that he can call his own, bricks have become a symbolic way for him to connect to the rest of the world.

His recent Solo exhibitions include ‘The Story of an Outsider’ at Wardown Museum, Luton, UK (2023) and ‘How Little I Understand About Me’ at Canvas Gallery, Karachi, Pakistan (2021). Recent group exhibitions include India Art Fair, India (2025), ‘Fragments of a City’s Memory’, Twelve Gates Arts gallery – Philadelphia, USA (2024), ‘Beyond the Page’, MK Gallery, Milton Keynes, UK (2023), Legacies of Crossing, Shahnaz Gallery, UK (2024). Recently, Noor received The Arts Family (TAF) London Emerging Artist Award – South Asia 2024.
