Sara Howard is an award-winning British designer dedicated to pioneering circular and regenerative systems in the ceramics industry and beyond. Sara developed an industrial symbiosis model, using waste from other industries to replace virgin raw materials in ceramic production. This approach was scaled up in 2022 in collaboration with Kevala Ceramics for the hospitality industry. Her methods are outlined in Circular Ceramics, a book that empowers ceramicists to adopt sustainable practices. Sara also co-founded Golden Earth Studio to connect artists with the construction industry, giving creatives access to demolition and excavation by-products that are transformed into artworks and reintroduced into interiors through the Golden Earth Gallery.
