Clay At Home

What is Clay at Home?

This project is an online creative learning programme to get people experimenting and engaging with clay in their homes. The Clay at Home programme includes video demonstrations of hands-on activities, podcast interviews with artists and social networking events.

BCB created the digital resource in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. It includes activities to support children’s home learning led by the CLAY School programme manager, Natalie Armitage and how-to’s for clay enthusiasts created by BCB’s Associate Artists.

Program highlights

  • Saltdough Recipe, a clay alternative for those who don’t have access to the material in their homes
  • Clay Cookbook, exploring science and biology through food, plants and clay
  • Press Moulded Bowl, how to make a bowl using only items from your home

All the videos can be found on the Resources section of our website.
