  • There is parking approximately 50 metres from the hall and 70 metres from the church entrance

The Brampton Museum

  • There is one entrance for visitors outside the sandpit play area at the side of the museum building when approached from the front car park
  • The entrance can be approached by three steps or a ramp with a gradient suitable for wheelchairs
  • There is wheelchair access available to all areas
  • There is a wheelchair available to visitors.

  • Two accessible toilets available
  • A changing places toilet is available five minutes’ walk away in Newcastle Library
  • Baby changing facilities are available

Parking

  • There is a small car park outside the museum with two Blue Badge spaces and five other spaces
  • There are also two more car parks at Brampton Park. One is at the end of the drive to the museum, just off the main road, and the other is near the play equipment. These offer free parking for four hours and are only a short walk through the park to the museum.

  • Accessible toilets can be found on both the ground floor and lower ground floor, however these require a radar key. The Museum has a set of radar keys that can be used in an emergency.

  • The museum has no on-site parking
  • Several Pay & Display Car Parks can be found nearby
  • It is recommended that blue badge holders use spaces in Albion Street (ST1 1QF), where there is a disabled bay and on-street bays which are free to badge holders
  • There are also bays in Bethesda Street (ST1 3BP)

  • During term time, Wednesday to Friday after 2.45pm
  • Sunday afternoon
