Artistic Programme

BCB works with a breadth of artists who use clay as their primary creative material. We create opportunities and give platform for early career artists, alongside those recognised for their achievements. We seek to celebrate artistic discovery and courageous new practice that helps to expand our understanding and appreciation of clay as a creative, industrious and rewarding material.

We have the pleasure to work with local, national and international artists through a number of ways:

  • Artist Development Surgeries
  • Factory
  • Fresh Talent Development Programme
  • Community of Practice workshops
  • International projects
  • Exhibitions/Commissions

2024 International Exchange: Indian Ceramics Triennale and British Ceramics Biennial

For the fourth International Exchange between British Ceramics Biennial (BCB) and Indian Ceramics Triennale (ICT), Copper Sounds will be visiting India to exhibit their work and to explore the links between their sonic ceramics and the ghatam, a traditional Indian clay instrument.
