About Every Other Seat by Dust Rising
Every Other Seat is an ongoing series of pop-up art exhibitions by DUST Rising, an artist led project based in Stoke-on-Trent. Every Other Seat features regional artist and student commissioned ‘art seats’ reflecting on the impact of the Pandemic on the arts.
It is a playful but serious attempt to highlight the on-going situation of COVID 19 and highlights the role that the arts, the theatre and creative people have in the development of a thriving society and how important they are for our future.
For the BCB a group of artists have been invited to make a seat, bringing their processes and ideas to the project theme. Dust Rising will also be working with the BCB Generation project, encouraging young people to explore the heritage of ceramic sites and to create their own Seats for the Every Other Seat display.
