Dan Kelly

Dan Kelly studied at Camberwell School of arts and crafts in the mid-1970s. After Camberwell he went on to the Royal College of Art to extend his studies. During this time, quite a lot of experimenting took place, where decisions are made as a spontaneous, intuitive response to the material.

Over the years, Dan has pared down his working process, limiting the range of forms he works with and concentrating on a restricted palette of mostly black, white and neutral tones. Dan continues to live and work in South London; he has exhibited widely in the UK and internationally and his work is also represented in several museums.

Artist Talks

During the 2023 British Ceramic Biennial you will have the chance to meet, ask questions and hear from some of the talented artists exhibiting with us this year. The Artist Talks will provide a unique insight into the work and careers of some of the artists and the work they have created especially for the 2023 Biennial.

Each talk will be 30 minutes, followed by a 15-minute Q&A. They will all take place in All Saints Church. Ticket fees are pay-what-you-can.

We will record each Artist Talk and publish them on our website over the coming months.
