About the Artist
Elliot Mountain is a Yorkshire-born artist based in London working across ceramics, sculpture, and craft. His practice explores the relationship between the built environment, material memory, and the body through clay. Using locally sourced clays, he creates large-scale ceramic installations and sculptural objects that sit between functional and fine art contexts. His work draws on traditional craft processes, with a focus on hand-making, mould-making, and experimental approaches to scale and structure.
Elliot’s practice reflects an ongoing interest in labour, place, and the tension between organic and industrial forms. He graduated from The Glasgow School of Art and was awarded the Fresh Talent Prize at the British Ceramics Biennial in 2025.
