Behind the Scenes Tours: Sat 11.15am & 12.30pm, Sun 11.15am

Head to the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery 14th and 15th March to get a behind the scenes tour of their extensive ceramic collections and have a go at making your own Staffordshire Flatback with BCB’s Associate Artists Sue Blatherwick and Gabriella Rhodes.

 

Mini Flatback Making in the Natural Science Gallery
Sat 11am-4pm, Sun 11.30am-3.30pm

Get involved in making a contemporary mini Staffordshire flat-back figurine as seen in the BCB Cultural Icons exhibition at The Potteries Museum and Art Gallery and Hove Museum and Art Gallery. Visitors will gain an insight into the process through pressing and fettling their own mini flatback, as demonstrated in the Production Line during the 2019 festival. 

 

Behind the Scenes Tours
Sat 11.15am & 12.30pm, Sun 11.15am

Behind the scenes tours of the extensive ceramics collection last approx 45 min and will begin at in entrance to the Ceramics gallery. Tours need to be pre-booked at reception (please note – maximum of 12 people per tour).

 

 

This activity is part of a special Open Weekend, celebrating the creativity and culture in Stoke-on-Trent and encouraging visitors to get making.
