Join the artists from the 2023 British Ceramics Biennial Tactile Project Space to explore ceramics tile heritage, reusing clay materials and how to link ceramics to science.

About the Tactile CPD workshop

This 90-minute CPD workshop for primary school teachers will take you through the processes used in the Tactile Project Space. It will demonstrate how you can combine clay with seeds to create a project for your students that links to the science curriculum and encourages their creativity. You will explore how you can use the ideas and techniques in this session to develop your own project with your students in school.

• Science: Working scientifically, relationships in an ecosystem, materials 
• Art: understanding of artists and designers, increase proficiency in in handling different materials, history of art, craft, design and architecture

• Science: Ecosystems, structure of matter 
• Art: acquire and develop technical skills with a broad range of materials, develop knowledge and understanding of art, craft and design in historical and contemporary context, awareness of the purposes, intentions and functions of art
