Led by British Ceramics Biennial in partnership with the Museum of Ceramics in Bolesławiec, Poland, Ceramic Cities Exchange creates opportunities for young artists to expand their creative practice, broaden their networks and engage in international cultural exchange.

About Ceramic Cities Exchange

Drawing upon the prestigious ceramic heritage of both cities, the first phase included a digital exchange and creative workshops, followed by a UK artist visit to Bolesławiec in August 2025. While in Poland, participants took time to explore local ceramic heritage. They created new work in response to their experiences, all of which is captured in this short film, which was shown at the 2025 British Ceramics Biennial. A further phase of the exchange aims to enable Polish artists to travel to Stoke-on-Trent, strengthening international connections through shared ceramic traditions.
