About the Recast Podcast Episode 1

In the Recast Podcast episode 1, Founder of The Community Cast Adam Gratton, speaks to Service Manager from Stoke Recovery Service Vicky Lomas, about the programme and discusses first-hand experiences of the ReCast programme with participants, Callum, Tracey and Lee.

What is Recast?

The Recast programme combines creativity, addiction recovery and clay. It’s a collaboration between BCB (British Ceramics Biennial) and Stoke Recovery Service that’s been running since 2017. Each week, members of the service take part in weekly clay workshops led by a BCB associate artist. These occur in 8 week blocks at Stoke Recovery Service HQ. Following these weekly workshops, members of the groups are invited to spend four days on an artist residency at Spode Works. Work made during this time is shared at public events and exhibitions.

The current round of Recast is funded by The Rayne Foundation and The Community Foundation for Staffordshire.
