About ReCast Podcast Episode 3

In the ReCast Podcast episode 3, we talk with Josh and Geoff about living in recovery from alcohol addiction and how their journey has led them to ReCast. They also talk about how through working clay and with the support of the Stoke Recovery Service and British Ceramics Biennial, they have created a ceramic trove that embodies their recovery journey using creative methods.

What is ReCast

The ReCast programme combines creativity, addiction recovery and clay. It’s a collaboration between BCB (British Ceramics Biennial) and Stoke Recovery Service that’s been running since 2017. Each week, members of the service take part in weekly clay workshops led by a BCB associate artist. These occur in 8-week blocks at Stoke Recovery Service HQ. Following these weekly workshops, members of the groups are invited to spend four days on an artist residency at Spode Works. We then share the work made during this time at public events and exhibitions.

The current round of ReCast is funded by The Rayne Foundation and The Community Foundation for Staffordshire.
