What does the ceramics heritage of Stoke-on-Trent mean to young people in the city? What parts do they feel are important and want to celebrate?

The Generation project seeks to answer these questions through a range of workshops, sessions, and visits to heritage venues, working with young people to show the range of ceramics heritage in the city.

We are working with the four key sites of ceramics heritage from across the city: Middleport Pottery, Spode Museum Trust, Potteries Museum and Art Gallery and World of Wedgwood. The venues will set provocations for the young people to explore and develop their own outcomes with the overarching aim to help engage more young people with ceramics heritage.

We’ll be announcing more workshops next month. Please check back or follow us on social media to stay up to date on opportunities.

The Generation project is supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
