Studio & Community

The Studio & Community programme creates safe spaces to meet others, learn and share skills. Creating a clay community in the heart of a ceramic city.

BCB’s Community programmes seek to develop creativity and nurture wellbeing. They work in partnership with health and community organisations in Stoke-on-Trent to create opportunities for people to explore and imagine how clay and creativity can make a difference in their lives, communities and city.

The BCB Studio, Spode Works

The BCB Studio, based on the historic Spode Works factory site, provides open-access ceramics facilities in Stoke-on-Trent. It is a place to create with clay, meet others, develop ideas, explore ceramics processes and refine making skills.

Studio membership is available for those who feel confident to work independently. The studio and its facilities are open to members on Mondays and Thursdays each week.

A firing service is available for makers who create their work at home or from another studio.
