Call for Filmmakers – Mentee Artist Films 2026/27

British Ceramics Biennial (BCB) is seeking a filmmaker or video artist in the new year to produce a series of short films to highlight selected artists in our 2026/2027 Mentorship programme.

BCB Mentorship programme 2026

The BCB Mentorship programme welcomed applications from early-career creatives working in clay who feel they face barriers to career progression and accessing a professional network in contemporary ceramics. The mentoring programme will support seven artists between September 2026 and February 2027.

Opportunity details

We are looking for a filmmaker to produce seven short films, one for each selected mentee. Each film will introduce the mentees to our audiences and highlight their individual practices. We would like each film to incorporate interviews and various shots of the artists in their studios.

These films should highlight the artist’s practice and serve as a digital asset for their portfolio, website and social media. It should also look forward to what the next steps they are planning to take. Download the film brief for full details.
