About Stoke Makes Plates –Plate Making Masterclass
in partnership with Duchess China 1888

Set the wheels in motion with traditional platemaking activities. The Stoke Makes Plates heritage mapping project that connects local communities with the cultures of Stoke-on-Trent’s high street, invites families and friends to get hands on. Let your creative genius loose on all aspects of plate making.

Play with clay and make a traditional plate by rolling and moulding. Design your own plate transfer by drawing, collaging, or writing a unique digital print. Choose a readymade transfer to decorate your plate. Use our 3D printer to design a contemporary look. Perfect for budding artists and those with imaginative fingers!
