Fresh Talent exhibition 2023

Fresh Talent is an exhibition of work by three artists – Dorcas Casey, Nico Conti and Leora Honeyman. They were all awarded artistic residencies on the strength of the work they exhibited at Fresh, during the British Ceramics Biennial in 2021.

The work in Fresh Talent is a result of their residencies which offered space and opportunity to connect with histories, experiences, and people in new ways. The residencies enabled them to create new and exploratory work, expanding their creative practice in unexpected directions.

 Artists

Dorcas Casey is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Bristol. She is interested in dreams, intuition, folk rituals, memory and stories. She works with many different materials including fabric, plaster, bronze, and ceramics.

Nico Conti is a ceramic artist from Malta specialising in 3D printing. His artistic journey revolves around exploring different materials and techniques.

Leora Honeyman uses processes in unusual ways to produce unexpected results. In this way, she prompts the viewer to question their understanding of what they are looking at.
